The project involved the renovation on an existing two-story building at 822 Geary Street and the installation of a new prefabricated modular building at 629 Hyde Street for two new outpatient clinics that will serve people experiencing homelessness: a crisis stabilization unit (CSU) and an overdose prevention program services site (OPPSS). The CSU is a short-term, urgent care clinic intended to serve those in crisis as an alternative to hospital care. The CSU will occupy the first floor of the existing building at Geary Street. The CSU will operate 24 hours as day and serve up to 15 patients at a time with patients not staying more than 24 hours.
